MOOC-concept for Savonia University of Applied Sciences

Project objective:

Develop a concept for MOOC (Massive Open Online Courses) at Savonia University of Applied Sciences.

Project challenges:

1. differentiation from competitors

2. devising startegies to enhance student motivation for course completion

3. creating course structures or tools to enable effective time management for students.

Special focus: Visual elements in prototype (manipulation of Adobe Stock images + creation of mascot illustration), expert interview on gamification and ideation of gamified elements and concepting of charity element. Equal participation in desk research, theme ideation and building prototype in Figma.

  • Guidance counselor function as an aid in study planning. Assists in scheduling and planning course completion. Includes accessibility settings

  • Appealing to shared values for a common good objective: By completing the entire course package, Savonia commits to donating to charity.
